In the old days, printers are used for printing documents. However, as time goes by, printers are now used into so many different ways. There are now all-in-one printer wherein the machine can be used not only for printing, but for scanning, copying and even faxing documents.
But wait, since printers have evolved again. A new line of printers from Hewlett Packard can now browse the internet without using a computer. All you need is a WiFi access point and internet connection and that’s it! You can now browse the internet, check your email, read the news or even read an ebook without using your laptop or PC.
How is that possible? Well, HP has included a 7-inch detachable touch screen tablet on its new HP Photosmart eStation e-Allo-in-One Printer. The tablet can effectively perform basic tasks but since it is powered by Android, we can expect many innovations that may come along the way.
As for the printer, it serves as the base station of the touch screen tablet. We, you will really not dare to look at other printers as the eStation has it all. It can print colored or black in white documents at an approximate speed of 30 pages per minute. On the other hand, the scanner is capable of scanning up to 1200 dpi on optical scan and up to 19200 dpi for enhanced scanning.
In addition to that, you also fax documents even without a phone line. But, you will need a web-based fax service in order to do that. Lastly, it is wireless buff. The eStation comes with a build-in WiFi that is compatible with IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standards. So, whether your network is old or new, you can still integrate the printer to your existing network.
At a first glance, the new HP Photosmart eStation printer is just an ordinary all-in-one printer. However, the addition of the 7-inch touch screen tablet can not go unnoticed. It provides an added advantage of PC-less printing and the same time, performing multi task activities without having a computer. The best part is that anyone can have this product for a low price of $399. Thus, this is certainly a cool thing to have!
